It is August in Stonington, a small fishing town on the southernmost tip of Deer Isle, Maine. The time is around 6:00 A.M. and hardly anyone is to be seen. The "out-of-staters" (vacationers) are not yet up and most of the lobstermen are already out tending their traps. I'm doing a little fishing of my own looking for some nice coastal subject matter to sketch, lobster traps and the like; but what catches my eye is this small cottage with many flowers and a picket fence. It could be in any small town U. S. A. You'd never know that it sits high above the village with a commanding view of the bay.
