Inspired, first, by the movie "Last of the Mohicans" and then after reading the other "Leatherstocking Tales" by James Fenimore Cooper, I wanted to capture something of the feeling I had while reading these. The representation here is not any particular "scene" found in the books but a general re-creation of all of Mr. Cooper's wonderful word pictures.
