Secret Cove?? Why so secret? Well, while camping and painting in Maine, on Deer Isle on one of the more isolated reaches, my wife and I were told about this area of the reach that was even more isolated than where we were....but to get to it you had to do a little trespassing. Turns out we had to kind of sneak in on private property, through about a hundred and fifty yards of trees and then you burst into the open upon this magnificent hillside with fields and pines, wild roses blooming, granite boulders, the ocean and no one else. Just the way I like it! Can anyone say picnic and paint pictures? You bet! The real trick the following year was sneaking 18 students though the same trail without being detected. Fun.
