Having just moved from my home/studio that had been located in Pittsburgh, it was a refreshing change for my wife and I to relocate into the country. However, in any move some casualties occur...broken glasses...something lost. This old quilt was saved from that category. Found laying in some water after a major shower it could have mildewed and been lost but it made it to the clothesline and was bathed in sunshine instead. The light fell on it like this for just a matter of minutes, so I was lucky to get the reference photo that this painting was worked from.
